Treasurer, Private Equity Job Description
I. Company Overview:

II. Position Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking a talented executive to assume the role of Treasurer at their Private Equity firm based in Ohio. Reporting to the CFO, the Treasurer’s primary responsibilities is to forecast cash needs, manage bank relationships, debt compliance, hedge financial risks (FX/interest rates), and execute on capital calls and distributions.
Core Responsibilities:
- • Cash and Liquidity Management: Monitoring daily cash positions, forecasting cash flow, and ensuring sufficient funds for operational needs and investment opportunities.
- • Fund Operations: Executing capital calls and distributions, managing investor cash flows, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- • Risk Management: Mitigating risks related to interest rates on borrowings, foreign exchange (FX) positions, and commodity prices.
- • Banking and Debt Relationships: Managing relationships with lenders, credit rating agencies, and financial institutions.
- • Portfolio Company Support: Assisting with debt compliance, covenant monitoring, and optimizing working capital within portfolio companies.
- • Strategic Planning: Advising leadership on liquidity aspects of long-range planning, including mergers, acquisitions, and exit strategies (e.g., IPO readiness).
III. Position Requirements:
The following are the qualifications, requirements, and experience necessary for the Treasurer position.
Key Qualifications \& Requirements:
- • 7-10 years in finance or treasury roles is required, with experience in Private Equity backed environments highly valued.
- • Strong financial modeling, proficiency in Treasury Management Systems (TMS), and deep knowledge of cash management best practices is required.
- • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, and investment management best practices is required.
- • Must have a Bachelors in Finance Accounting, Business Administration, or related degree.
- • Excellent leadership, negotiation, management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills is required.
- • Ability to lead from a strategic and tactical perspective in all aspects of day to day financial management.
- • Preference for candidates that have experience doing business in both the U.S. and Canada.
Certifications:
- • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred, but not required.

Open to candidates outside the local area. Relocation assistance provided to the successful candidate.
