Job Description:

This position will report to the Senior Treasury Manager.

The Treasury Analyst (Senior Treasury Analyst) plays a vital role within the Treasury Dept. and the company as they are responsible for the most liquid asset of the company: cash. This role is responsible for analyzing and forecasting cash and liquidity, reconciling and managing bank accounts, cash accounting activities, as well as supporting modernization initiatives within the Treasury team. The Senior Analyst level carries expanded ownership of complex analytics, stakeholder influence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Cash Management

  • Prepare and enhance the weekly global cash forecast, including maintaining and improving the forecasting model, key assumptions, and drivers (AR/AP, tax, payroll, supply chain, etc.)
  • Support the Treasury Manager with quarterly interest forecasting, WACC calculations, KPI reporting, and various ad‑hoc financial analyses
  • Reconcile and maintain outstanding share counts and stock option reserve activity, and prepare weekly reporting of stock option exercises
  • Document cash management processes, maintain current procedural documentation, and actively participate in process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Serve as the primary owner of Hormel’s standby letter-of credit portfolio, overseeing the full lifecycle of all LOC’s, including annual renewals, amendments, expirations, and any required compliance related documentation. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and banking partners to ensure timely maintenance, accurate recordkeeping, and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for managing the full lifecycle of global bank accounts, including initiating and coordinating new account openings, executing account modifications, and overseeing timely account closures. Oversee the enterprise Bank Account Master Workbook by updating account details, monitoring status changes, and ensuring data integrity to support global treasury and compliance with internal controls
  • Address ad-hoc cash management transactional questions received from stakeholders. This includes assisting with SOX, internal controls, and audit selections
  • Monthly/quarterly analysis on pension account performance
  • Perform monthly bank‑fee analysis to verify accuracy, identify discrepancies, uncover cost‑reduction opportunities, and support initiatives aimed at optimizing global banking expenses
  • Provide support and serve as a backup to the Cash Management Specialist as needed to ensure continuity of daily operations

Accounting Support

  • Manage monthly intercompany loan interest calculations and journal entry process
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts related to cash, banking, and treasury activities
  • Responsible for completing the Diversified Foods Insurance Co Trial Balance entry on a period basis, as well as preparing cash management entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts

Qualifications:

Level of position offered, Treasury Analyst II or Senior Treasury Analyst, will be based on candidates’ experience level and skill set.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 2\+ years (Analyst) or 5\+ years (Senior Analyst) of experience in Treasury, Finance, or Accounting with demonstrated analytical ownership
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑driven decision‑making skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Preferred

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Certification, or other advanced professional certification
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP, SmartView, or similar reporting/forecasting tools
  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Kyriba, GTreasury, FIS Integrity, etc.)

Pay Range \& Benefits:

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for the Treasury Analyst II is between $82,500 - $115,500 per year and the base hiring pay range for the Senior Treasury Analyst is $93,400 - $130,800, and your actual base pay within that range will, depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
