Role Description

This full-time, remote UI/UX Designer role is based in Charlotte, NC. The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing interfaces to enhance user experiences. Daily tasks include designing mockups, prototyping user interactions, and collaborating closely with development teams to implement designs. The designer will play a critical role in ensuring SSCC’s digital products are user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with the company’s vision and goals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Mockups, Visual Design, and Prototyping
• Strong skills in User Experience Design (UED) and usability principles
• Experience with Front-End Development and knowledge of modern web technologies
• Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
• Proficiency with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
• Prior experience in catering, hospitality, or events industry design is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• User Research \& Analysis: Conduct basic user research (surveys, interviews, persona creation) to understand client needs, pain points, and behaviors related to catering services.

• Information Architecture (IA): Define and refine the site structure and content organization to ensure intuitive navigation and clear user flows, especially around browsing menus, requesting quotes, and booking services.

• Wireframing \& Prototyping: Create low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity, interactive prototypes (using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD) to visualize design solutions.

• Visual Design (UI): Develop a cohesive and appealing visual design (color palettes, typography, imagery, and iconography) that aligns with the Southern Celebration Catering brand identity.

• Usability Testing: Plan and execute usability tests to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
