  • Active Secret security clearance is mandatory.
  • Eligible for Top Secret/SCI clearance is preferred.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, Sketch, InVision, or Framer.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and iterative design processes.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and WCAG guidelines.
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for design handoff purposes.
  • Strong stakeholder facilitation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver user‑centered interfaces and interaction patterns for MODES III web and application products, ensuring accessibility, usability, and performance standards are met in collaboration with development teams and analytics leads.
  • Create wireframes, high‑fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and detailed component specifications for both web and mobile platforms; iterate designs based on usability testing outcomes and analytical insights.
  • Conduct and support usability testing (moderated and unmoderated), gather user feedback, analyze findings, and implement actionable design improvements to enhance user experience.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards such as Section 508 and WCAG 2\.x, working closely with developers to implement accessible features.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive UX artifacts including journey maps, personas, task flows, design pattern libraries, and component documentation to promote consistency and reusability across projects.
  • Collaborate with product managers, software developers, analytics teams, and stakeholders to translate user research and performance data into prioritized design tasks and measurable UX KPIs.
  • Support rapid iteration cycles within Agile sprints by delivering timely design assets, participating in PI planning, and engaging in demo and retrospective sessions.
  • Stay informed of industry best practices, emerging trends, and new tools to continually enhance the quality and effectiveness of design deliverables.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $51,000 to $82,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

  • Retirement savings options including 401(k) plans with company match.
  • Paid time off and holiday leave to support work-life balance.
