Your Role
We are looking for an Unreal Engine Performance Engineer to ensure our ambitious world runs at peak performance across PC and consoles without compromising gameplay or fidelity.
Responsibilities
As an Unreal Engine Performance Engineer, you will:
- Profile CPU, GPU, memory, and network performance across platforms.
- Optimize Unreal Engine 5 systems (Nanite, Lumen, World Partition, physics, AI, animation, networking)
- Integrate and fine-tune upscaling technologies (DLSS, FSR, TSR) to maximize performance while preserving visual quality.
- Improve rendering pipelines, LOD systems, asset streaming, and lighting setups.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and artists to balance fidelity and performance.
- Develop tools and workflows for automated performance testing.
- Support platform-specific optimization for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Requirements
- 3\+ years in game development, with at least 1 shipped title (PC or console).
- Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 profiling tools and optimization workflows.
- Skilled in GPU optimization (materials, shaders, lighting, draw calls).
- Experience with CPU-side optimizations: AI, physics, and networking.
- Familiarity with upscaling solutions (DLSS, FSR, TSR) and their impact on rendering pipelines.
- Bonus: Experience with large-scale survival/RPG or open-world games.
