Description
Prime Video is seeking an experienced, self-motivated communications professional to join our rapidly growing and evolving Sports team. This position will assist in the development and execution of communications strategy for U.S. sports programming on Prime Video, including live sports and sports content. Candidates should have experience working in sports and/or media, with high standards under tight deadlines, and a proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This person must be passionate about sports, have extraordinary judgment, excellent communications skills, exemplary writing ability, and should be a strong project manager. This role will be part of the Global Sports Communications team and can be based in New York or Los Angeles.
Key job responsibilities
- Assist with developing and executing communications strategy and campaigns for live sports and sports programming on Prime Video.
- Manage media relations for Prime Sports including traditional print reporters, sports and entertainment trades, consumer sports media, digital media, and influencers.
- Work in partnership with other internal Amazon teams to drive successful communications programs for Prime Sports.
- Manage complex communications challenges with media and internal stakeholders.
- Keep current on trends, issues, and news about both the business and consumer worlds of sports, media, and entertainment.
- Write press releases, media alerts, FAQs, talking points, talent and executive bios, and other publicity materials as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- 5\+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

- Experience working directly with senior executives and leadership teams

- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Experience managing challenging assignments with aggressive schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
