User Experience Designer #99340

Our global manufacturing client is seeking a User Experience (UX) Designer to help shape the future of operator experiences across next-generation heavy equipment platforms. This role will focus on defining intuitive, user-centered experiences within machine cab environments while supporting emerging technologies such as autonomy and AI-driven solutions.

This is a 24-month contract opportunity with potential for extension and will be a fully onsite role based in Mossville, IL.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with UX researchers to identify key operator experiences and usage scenarios
• Develop and validate journey maps and user flows based on business, customer, and technical requirements
• Translate journey maps into documented UX requirements
• Review product and interface designs to ensure alignment with established UX standards
• Collaborate with product teams, engineers, architects, machine coordinators, and end users throughout the design process
• Support the development of intuitive operator experiences for complex machine systems
• Participate in field visits and customer observations as needed

What We're Looking For

• Experience creating journey maps and user flows
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex physical products
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Experience documenting requirements and translating research into actionable design guidance
• Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human Factors, Engineering, or related field
