Job Description
Our global manufacturing client is seeking a User Experience (UX) Designer to help shape the future of operator experiences across next-generation heavy equipment platforms. This role will focus on defining intuitive, user-centered experiences within machine cab environments while supporting emerging technologies such as autonomy and AI-driven solutions.
This is a 24-month contract opportunity with potential for extension and will be a fully onsite role based in Mossville, IL.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with UX researchers to identify key operator experiences and usage scenarios
- Develop and validate journey maps and user flows based on business, customer, and technical requirements
- Translate journey maps into documented UX requirements
- Review product and interface designs to ensure alignment with established UX standards
- Collaborate with product teams, engineers, architects, machine coordinators, and end users throughout the design process
- Support the development of intuitive operator experiences for complex machine systems
- Participate in field visits and customer observations as needed
What We're Looking For
- Experience creating journey maps and user flows
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex physical products
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Experience documenting requirements and translating research into actionable design guidance
- Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human Factors, Engineering, or related field
