User Experience Designer

Note:

This position is onsite 3x a week; remote 2x. Must be local or willing to relocate to Chicago, IL area.

Responsibilities:

This individual will help define the next generation of AI-powered technology working within the Data \& AI Engineering group. This role partners closely with the UX Lead, product managers, and engineers to design and deliver intuitive, impactful AI-powered products and platforms. This is a hands-on, craft-focused role for a designer who combines strong product design skills with a forward-thinking, AI-first mindset.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 3\+ years of experience as a product or UX designer.
• Strong skill set in user research, UX/UI design, prototyping, and design interactions across applications.
• Experience leveraging design systems. Strong preference for candidates that have built design systems in the past.
• Animation or motion design experience is a plus, but not required.
• Coding experience is NOT required, but they must be familiar/have a high-level understanding of how to code to understand how developers think.
• Preference for enterprise related industries (M\&A, tax, law, professional services, etc.).
• Experience with leveraging AI for prototyping designs is a plus.
• Self-starter that’s self-sufficient and work autonomously.
• Strong communication, not afraid to get into the work/get hands dirty, naturally curious, continuous learner, enjoys working through challenges, easily adopts new technology, AI first mindset.

Preferred:

• Experience in the professional services industry.
• Demonstrated curiosity and self-direction in adopting emerging AI tools and workflows ahead of the curve.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in a Scrum environment.
• Knowledge of user behavior analytics and UX metrics tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, or similar.
