Job Description
Looking for a UX/UI designer to own site experience design across our Shopify storefront: homepage, PDP, PLP,
cart, and landing pages. You'll design within our existing component system, design new pages and modules, use
customer behavior data to guide what you design next. This role works very closely with creative and
development to take ideas from concept to a clean, working page. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for
someone who designs with the platform and the customer journey in mind, not just the mockup.
Core Responsibilities
● Own UX/UI design and site experience
○ Design landing pages, homepage iterations, and PDP/PLP modules within the existing Shopify
theme and component library
○ Suggest, design, and brief new components
○ Extend or lightly customize components (HTML/CSS) where needed; write clear specs when
deeper theme work is required
○ Apply CRO best practices across nav, PLP, and PDP: fit communication, size-based
merchandising, product-solution framing
○ Propose new sections or blocks with clear rationale when the existing system can't support a
need, rather than defaulting to custom builds
● Execute and collaborate
○ Partner closely with Creative to translate brand and design vision into site experience, flagging
early when a concept won't work inside platform constraints
○ Write dev-ready specs and documentation; annotate handoffs so someone who wasn't in the
room can build correctly
○ Own your work end to end, including QA on what you design and ship, so quality is built in rather
than caught after the fact
○ Keep ecommerce, development, and creative stakeholders unblocked through proactive
communication on scope and timeline
● Design with data
○ Use heatmaps, session recordings, and funnel drop-off data to identify friction points and
prioritize what to design next
○ Tie design decisions to CVR, ATC rate, and funnel completion, not just visual polish
Requirements
● Strong UX/UI portfolio with e-commerce or DTC work
● Hands-on Shopify Online Store experience: sections, blocks, templates, schema, metafields
● Comfortable auditing platform constraints before designing; basic Liquid/HTML/CSS literacy
● Figma fluency within an existing design system: components, variants, Auto Layout
● Meticulous and detail-oriented; comfortable owning the quality of your own work through launch
● Experience translating data (heatmaps, session replay, A/B results) into design decisions
● Experience with Microsoft Clarity, Intelligems, or analysis and similar testing tools
Nice to Have
● Experience with Replo or other landing page builders
● Apparel or intimates category experience
