Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and talented UI/UX designer with strong visual and graphic design skills, that has experience or interest in the POP display or retail industry, to design and shape unique, user-centric visuals and engaging experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience working in cross-functional teams and working as a graphic designer or production artist. You will be able to make deliberate design decisions, translate any given user-experience journey into smooth, intuitive flows, and design beautiful graphics and user interfaces.
You will also be responsible to comprehend, update and execute visual and content refresh for fixtures and experiences that are currently in stores. Using and/or developing new content templates for each of the experiences you design or support.
This position will report to the Lead UX/UI Designer.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates with minimal management oversight, defining project’s deliverable scopes, and keeping track of their own deliverables.
- Responsible for defining, tracking and meeting digital experiences’ go-to-market dates once scope and assets have been provided.
- Receive, process and qualify scope based on provided client assets.
- Acts as the main POC for customers throughout the design and development process: assessing project scope, presenting designs, requesting assets or information, updating client with development process until launch, continuing to maintain and refresh experience post-launch.
- Supports PMs/AMs with time estimates and keeping those on track.
- Create, improve and use wireframes, interactive prototypes, style guides, user flows, design systems. Effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods and more.
- Gather and organize brand assets for content refreshes to ensure smooth handoff to the development team.
- Create appealing graphics, visuals, detailed user interfaces, and video loops to support all visual needs of the retail experiences as needed.
- Develop and manage project-specific content templates and UI asset library.
- Develop and present UX and wireframe concepts.
- Leverage and follow design systems and brand guidelines as required to create consistent visual and interactive experiences.
- Style wireframes and provide UI direction to the development team as needed.
- Develop and share interactive mockups of your designs.
- Support the marketing team with assets and content development as needed.
- Maintain our company website, including adding to existing content or creating new pages as needed.
- Present and defend your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. color theory, visual weight, etc.)
- Oversee and/or prepare design for handoff to development engineers as necessary.
- Test experiences after being implemented by the development team to ensure compliance with design intent. Document changes as needed and communicate with the development team to iterate.
Required Skills \& Abilities
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Strong knowledge of Figma
- Strong knowledge of Framer
- Strong typography, color and layout ability
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and of project management tools
- Ability to design and implement high-fidelity attract loops that capture customer interest and drive engagement
- Experience successfully following brand guidelines
- Interest in retail design industry
- Strong visual design skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon designs
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members
- Provide assistance to technology team, designers and engineers when needed
Additional Capabilities
- Understanding of software development requirements
- Proficient with motion graphics and video editing software
- Pre-Press and Print Production experience
- Interest in video and photography
- Interest or experience in digital marketing
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills and techniques

Pay: $70,000\.00 - $110,000\.00 per year
