Role \& Responsibilities
The PACT Business Operations team provides centralized vendor management support to enable consistent, compliant, and efficient use of third‑party partners across clinical programs. The team oversees vendor sourcing, intake and qualification, contracting coordination, and ongoing vendor governance, partnering closely with delivery, procurement, finance, and legal teams to mitigate risk, improve operational efficiency, and support high‑quality study execution.
In this role, you will be primarily dedicated to the Cronos Rater Services team within PACT, but you will be expected to provide cross-coverage to other PACT teams as needed. Cronos Rater Services is a global team that delivers rater training, qualification, and oversight services to support high‑quality clinical outcome assessment (COA) data in clinical trials. Cronos combines clinical expertise and technology‑enabled analytics to reduce measurement risk, improve endpoint reliability, and support consistent, compliant assessment across global studies.
As a Vendor Operations Manager, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Coordinate vendor sourcing, intake, qualification, onboarding, and offboarding in line with IQVIA policies and timelines
- Partner with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Quality, and Information Security to support contracting and risk review
- Support the vendor contracting lifecycle, including MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and renewals
- Coordinate payment setup, purchase orders, invoicing, and payment remittance, resolving issues and exceptions as needed
- Maintain accurate vendor records, documentation, and tracking to ensure audit readiness
- Provide guidance to delivery teams on vendor governance, compliance, and escalation paths
- Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize vendor processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk
- Perform regular vendor portfolio reviews to support portfolio optimization in the form of cost savings and use of internal products and services when available
- Provide cross-coverage for other Vendor Managers across PACT

Required Knowledge, Skills \& Abilities
- Experience supporting end-to-end vendor management, including sourcing, onboarding, contracting coordination, payment setup and remittance, governance, and relationship management
- Ability to partner effectively with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Quality teams
- Strong organizational skills with attention to compliance, documentation, and detail while driving tasks and initiatives to closure
- Clear communicator able to manage multiple priorities in a global environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and other data capture and compilation tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Competent presentation and interpersonal skills meeting the needs of all levels within the organization up to and including the Executive Management
- Ability to demonstrate and apply relevant and evolving subject matter expertise illustrating mastered understanding of process / data analysis techniques and methodologies
- Ability to successfully and quickly grasp, understand and apply various analysis techniques and methodologies
- Ability to innovatively solve problems with demonstrated success delivering desired results according to quality guidelines and timelines
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management, operations staff, clients, and executive management members
Preferred Knowledge, Skills \& Abilities
- Experience in clinical research, life sciences, or healthcare
- Familiarity with vendor management or procurement systems (e.g., Aravo, Coupa, SAP, CLM tools)
- Experience supporting audits or inspection‑ready documentation
Minimum Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, business, or related field or 7 years of experience in a relevant function such as clinical operations, vendor management, project management or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and other data capture and compilation tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail/quality control skills while driving initiatives to closure
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Competent presentation and interpersonal skills meeting the needs of all levels within the organization up to and including the Executive Management
- Ability to successfully lead, manage and motivate staff
