Title: Vice President of Product - Operations Experience

Job Type: Direct-hire

Location: Onsite, Aurora

Salary Range: 135K-175K

Summary

This executive‑level product leadership role is responsible for shaping and delivering the technology, systems, and workflows that enable an efficient, compliant, and scalable mortgage loan lifecycle. The Vice President of Product - Operations Experience will lead the strategy and execution of internal platforms supporting loan processing, underwriting, closing, compliance, and servicing. The role focuses on driving operational efficiency through automation, data, analytics, and modernized systems while partnering closely with cross‑functional teams to support business growth and regulatory change.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute the product strategy and long‑term roadmap for all operational systems across the loan lifecycle
  • Own and optimize platforms that support loan processing, underwriting, closing, compliance, and servicing functions
  • Identify, prioritize, and deliver automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve operational throughput
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Technology teams to streamline workflows and remove inefficiencies
  • Lead upgrades, integrations, and enhancements to Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and related operational tools
  • Build scalable analytics and reporting capabilities to provide visibility into performance across loan stages
  • Define and manage KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for cycle time, productivity, quality, cost, and compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational effectiveness, cost control, and growth readiness
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing product organization, including Directors and Product Owners
  • Ensure systems, workflows, and controls remain aligned with evolving regulatory and compliance requirements

Skills

  • 12\+ years of experience in product management, technology, or operations‑focused roles, including 5\+ years in people leadership
  • Deep, hands‑on knowledge of mortgage operations, including processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing
  • Extensive experience working with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and operational workflow platforms
  • Demonstrated success delivering automation, efficiency, and scalability through technology solutions
  • Experience building and scaling internal products, data platforms, and reporting systems
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a focus on operational metrics and performance measurement
  • Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and lead cross‑functional initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
