Role Description
The Warehouse Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chicago Area. This role oversees daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products, while maintaining accurate inventory levels and up-to-date records. The Warehouse Manager coordinates stock organization, ensures efficient material flow, and supervises warehouse team members to meet operational and safety standards. Responsibilities include managing equipment such as forklifts, monitoring order fulfillment accuracy, optimizing space and processes, and collaborating with sales and logistics teams to support timely deliveries and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Stock Control and Inventory Control skills to maintain accurate product counts and minimize discrepancies.
- Candidates should possess Inventory Management and Operations Management skills to plan, organize, and optimize warehouse workflows and storage systems.
- Candidates should possess Forklift Operation skills and experience with warehouse equipment, adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Candidates should possess leadership and team management skills, including the ability to supervise staff, delegate tasks, and provide training and feedback.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and comfort using warehouse or ERP software.
- Relevant experience in warehouse or distribution environments, especially in plumbing, heating, or related industries, is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional technical or logistics education is beneficial.
