Position Overview:
We are seeking a Warehouse Receiving / QC Coordinator to support a high-volume solar materials project in St. Martinville, LA. This is a short-term contract role supporting the receipt, inspection, and warehouse handling of a large volume of solar panels and related materials.
This individual will play a critical role in ensuring incoming shipments are received accurately, inspected for freight or product damage, properly documented, and staged within the warehouse for storage and distribution.
Candidates with warehouse receiving, shipping/receiving, inventory control, logistics, or quality inspection experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:* Receive and offload incoming shipments of solar panels and related equipment
- Inspect incoming materials for visible shipping damage, defects, or discrepancies
- Document damaged materials thoroughly, including photos, notes, counts, and reporting required for damage claims
- Coordinate with project leadership and logistics contacts regarding damaged or rejected materials
- Move and organize materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment (forklift / pallet jack if applicable)
- Ensure materials are staged, labeled, and stored properly to maintain organization and prevent damage
- Track inventory receipts and maintain accurate receiving logs / documentation
- Verify packing slips, shipment counts, and delivery documentation
- Support general warehouse organization and material handling efforts as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with site safety expectations
Preferred Qualifications:* Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or material handling experience
- Experience inspecting incoming goods for damage / quality issues
- QC / QA inspection experience is a strong plus
- Experience documenting freight damage claims or material discrepancies preferred
- Forklift certification or equipment operation experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift / move materials and work in an active warehouse environment
- Solar, construction materials, or industrial warehouse experience is a plus
