We're seeking a hands-on

Warehouse Manager

to lead our warehouse, inventory, delivery fleet, and recycling operations in the Chicago market. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands inventory control and logistics, and takes pride in building efficient processes and high-performing teams.

The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, fleet management, jobsite deliveries, recycling operations, safety compliance, and warehouse personnel. This individual will play a critical role in supporting project execution, customer satisfaction, and overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse, Inventory \& Supply Chain Management

• Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and deliveries.
• Manage inventory accuracy, replenishment planning, and material flow to support customer and project demands.
• Coordinate with purchasing, vendors, carriers, and internal teams to optimize supply chain performance and product availability.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Team Leadership

• Hire, train, schedule, and lead warehouse personnel and drivers.
• Establish performance expectations and foster a positive, safety-focused culture.

Logistics \& Fleet Management

• Coordinate daily delivery schedules, shipping operations, and transportation activities.
• Manage the company fleet, including maintenance, inspections, and DOT compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers and job sites.

Recycling Operations

• Oversee recycling material receiving, processing, documentation, and shipments.
• Coordinate transportation with approved recycling and waste management partners.

Operations \& Continuous Improvement

• Monitor KPIs and operational performance metrics.
• Partner with Project Management, Sales, Purchasing, and Accounting teams to support business objectives.
• Drive process improvements, cost control, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5\+ years of warehouse, inventory, logistics, supply chain, or distribution management experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience leading warehouse teams.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and supply chain management principles.
• Experience managing inventory planning, replenishment, vendor coordination, and material flow in a distribution, construction supply, manufacturing, electrical, or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with fleet management and DOT compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze inventory performance, optimize stock levels, and improve operational efficiency.
• Strong analytical skills with experience managing inventory accuracy, operational KPIs, and cost-control initiatives.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience with Sage, OASIS, NetSuite, Acumatica, or similar ERP platforms is preferred.
• Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
