This role is ideal for a junior-to-midlevel developer who knows their craft, applies it confidently, and wants to grow long-term inside a brand that values precision, ownership, and quality. WordPress expertise is required. Experience with Shopify, custom builds, SEO, and performance optimization is highly valued.

What You’ll Do

As a Web Developer at IMG, you will work closely with design, strategy, SEO, and digital teams to build, maintain, and optimize websites across a wide range of clients and industries.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining WordPress websites, including custom themes and functionality
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-structured code across front-end and back-end environments
• Building and supporting Shopify sites and e-commerce functionality
• Supporting custom web builds beyond CMS templates when required
• Troubleshooting and resolving coding issues, bugs, and performance challenges
• Optimizing websites for speed, performance, and scalability
• Implementing SEO best practices at the technical level
• Ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
• Collaborating with designers to translate designs into functional, responsive builds
• Maintaining code quality, version control, and documentation
• Supporting ongoing site updates, enhancements, and maintenance
• Staying current on development best practices, tools, and evolving standards

Experience \& Technical Skills

• Junior to midlevel web development experience
• Strong WordPress development experience is required
• Experience building custom WordPress themes and functionality
• Familiarity with Shopify development and e-commerce workflows
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
• Experience with responsive design and modern front-end practices
• Understanding of technical SEO, site structure, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with page speed optimization tools and best practices
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Ability to debug, refactor, and improve existing code
• Agency or multi-site environment experience is a plus
