About The Role

We are seeking a talented WordPress Support and Development Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is primarily focused on managing WordPress hosting environments, performing maintenance tasks, and supporting ongoing client projects. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our clients' WordPress sites, while also engaging in project-based work such as site migrations, theme customization, and site rebuilds. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team supporting US-based clients during US working hours, with a competitive salary range of 21 to 23 Lacs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background with proven experience in WordPress development and support. Key qualifications include:

• Extensive experience in PHP-based WordPress custom theme development, with a focus on core customization and optimization.
• Proficiency in CSS and JavaScript, with the ability to work from existing assets and implement enhancements.
• Experience managing WordPress hosting environments on Azure Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Knowledge of Sitefinity CMS is a strong plus, especially given ongoing migration projects.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps workflows, including pull requests, deployment processes, and rollback strategies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle real-world technical scenarios effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, with a professional approach to client interactions and internal collaboration.
• Ability to document processes and technical issues clearly and thoroughly.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Performing routine maintenance tasks on WordPress sites, including plugin and core updates, security patches, and accessibility fixes.
• Implementing content changes as requested by clients or internal teams.
• Supporting client support requests via ticketing systems like Autotask, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
• Routing support tickets to appropriate team members and maintaining clear documentation of issues and resolutions.
• Participating in client calls alongside internal team members to understand requirements and provide technical insights.
• Building trust with clients through clear, proactive, and professional communication, with the goal of eventually managing direct client relationships.
• Assisting with site migrations, including Sitefinity‑to‑WordPress transitions, theme customization, and site rebuilds.
• Contributing to multisite improvements and other project-based initiatives to enhance site functionality and performance.
• Collaborating with internal developers, SEO teams, and migration specialists to ensure seamless project execution.
