Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive remodeling projects including framing, drywall, flooring, tile laying, cabinetry, and finishing touches to elevate residential spaces.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete various construction tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise execution of design plans.
- Perform construction inspection and quality control checks throughout each phase of the remodel to meet safety standards and client expectations.
- Manage construction site activities, coordinate with team members, and ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Install plumbing, electrical systems, glass, doors, trim carpentry, stucco, masonry, and other specialized components with attention to detail.
- Utilize construction management software such as Bluebeam for project documentation and communication.
- Conduct concrete forming, finishing, restoration work, roofing repairs, caulking, plastering, fabrication, masonry work, flooring installation, tile laying, welding, and hardscape enhancements as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of six years verified experience in residential remodeling with references.
- Efficient with computers and familiar with scheduling and estimating software.
- Deep knowledge of construction codes and compliance standards.
- Journeyman level expertise in at least one trade.
- Must own a truck with valid insurance and equipped with necessary tools.
- Residence within a 30-minute drive from City of Orange, as this position may require occasional on-site presence.
- Proven experience in running a working crew, scheduling, ordering materials, managing subcontractors, and completing inspections.
- Skills in light framing, electrical work, hanging doors and windows, and other remodeling tasks required to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination and collaboration with team members and clients.
